Street Portrait with the Class.

My friend Carolyn told me about her Clay while we were talking about my digital photo class. I was telling her about the assignment I wanted to do, which was to go out side and photograph using the available light vs. that of being in the studio. She told me about Clay video he had on You Tube and sent me the Link. I saw and what he had to saw was what I was thinking. He was right on and the next class I had I showed my students his You Tube video. Afterward we went out side just to get use to using the digital cameras. It would take us a few classes before we could get out to do what Clay had done on the streets since the Chicago weather was not on our side. Last week I woke up and it was sunny, so I thought this would be the best time to get out and do our Street portrait. I ran over to Calumet Photo and got us a white sweep, show up to class with a change of plans. The student were all for it.  So we set up two sweep on the side of the college wall and began asking people as they would walk by if we could take a photo of them. The result was great everyone had great images share. Our next assignment was to create a blog and upload the portrait then did and other images. The links off to the side, under spot photography will take you to my students blog were you can see the work they did last week and before then. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and a many thanks to Clay Enos for being our inspiration.
